AdEase- It’s Up to Us / Changing their ads to be more specific to suicide prevention via various activities on the radio, television, digital, social media and outdoor media (see attached sheet for more information)

Suicide Prevention Council
(Higher Education Subcommittee, Optum Health, Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT), UCSD and Community Research Foundation, SPC members) / ‘Not On My Watch’ Awareness Campaign
SPC members, SPC partner organizations and the Higher Education Subcommittee will be wearing and passing out ‘Not On My Watch’ kits and talking about suicide prevention with others during the week but on September 10th 2013 the Higher Education Subcommittee will be hosting their events (see attached chart)
Optum Health / QPR Training (during the week date/time TBD)
California State University San Marcos / -Active Minds Outreach-will be running a social media campaign, including Facebook, twitter, and a brief article in our Student Health 101 web magazine the week.
-9/10/13 is being declared “A Light In the Darkness” Day “A Light in the Darkness” Day. This will include tabling from 11 am – 1 pm, including talking to students about Not on My Watch and the Know the Signs campaign. Additionally, a panel is planned from 4-6 pm (tentatively, pending confirmation). Invited panel members include AFSP, Trevor Project, and the local Veteran’s Center, and the format is expected to be primarily people telling their individual stories and then responding to the audience.
-Week of 9/8 -9/14: SCHS staffs are available to present “The Truth About Suicide” to classes, organizations, faculty/staff groups for discussion.

Webinar- Overcoming Bipolar Disorder, How to Thrive Not Just Survive
Once a month we provide educational lectures in the San Diego County, which are recorded and posted to our website. These lectures address all issues surrounding mental health, including suicide.
San Diego County Libraries / QPR Trainings will be held during Suicide Prevention Week at the following locations:
-  Casa de Oro Library in Spring Valley on September 14th at 11:00am and 10:00am
-  The Santee Library on September 14th at 10:30am
The Department of Veteran Affairs / A Suicide Prevention Month Event will be held in September (Date TBD) from 11:30am-1:00pm. The event will showcase speakers from PERT and Friend to Friend, with community and VA resources.
