Scarborough Athletic Club Information Sheet

Scarborough Athletic Club senior section meets on Mondays at the Filey Road Sports Centre at 6.50 pm for a run at 7.00 pm, and on Thursdays at the Rugby Club, Scalby Road at 6.50 pm for 7-00 pm. The Junior Endurance Section meets at the Rugby Club on Tuesdays, 6-50 pm for 7-00 pm.

Monday and Thursday nights are usually runs of 4 to 7 miles in groups of similar ability which includes Pack Running (frequent turnaround points to ensure the group stays together), and on Thursday evenings structured training is provided for those interested which comprises speed work or hill repetitions. Lead coach Chris Wade plus several Run Leaders.

Sportshall and athletics training take place on Wednesday’s. Year 6 and below meet at The Rugby Club, contact Sharon Houghton for further details. Years 7 to 11 meet at The Rugby Club, contact Chris Wade or Sue Lawal, both groups meeting at 6.50 for 7 pm start. There is also a training group at Lady Lumleys School in Pickering which is organised by Sue Lawal Tel No 01751-472877 on Thursdays.
