The PowerPoint Virtual Museum

Most of us are familiar with using PowerPoint to deliver a presentation. In this assignment, you will use PowerPoint to create one room of a virtual museum that gives nonlinear access to information about the pictures hanging on your museum wall.

What you will do:

1.) Select a topic, find (or take) 5 or 7 digital images related to your topic. You should also develop one paragraph of information to go along with each picture.

2.) Construct a museum room in PowerPoint per these instructions.

3.) Hang your pictures on the walls of your museum per these instructions.

4.) Add a detail slide for each picture. The slide will contain a larger version of the picture, a title, and the paragraph that you developed in step 1 above.

5.) Add navigation links:

a.  Each picture hanging on the wall in your museum room must be turned into a clickable link that goes to the related detail slide.

b.  Add a button that will allow the user to return to the museum room from each detail slide. This button should be placed on the Slide Master as explained in the instructions. (See last page of this document)

c.  Create an exit slide that includes the works cited page (text and pictures) in MLA Format.
