Dear Eileen,

The Saint Aidan Holy Name Society willonce again be sponsoring the“ChristmasTheme Poster Contest” for the children of our parish. It will be an intra-parish event, open to both students of the parochial school, and students in the religious education program. We believe that this event will help to raise awareness of the focus on Christ during this holiest of seasons. Winning posters will also be entered into the Diocesan wide contest sponsored by the Diocesan Union of Holy Name Societies if held this year.

We will once again need your support in coordinating the effort in the parish school (i.e.; coordinating with the students, parents and faculty, collecting the work of the participants, etc.).

Attached you will find a copy of the contest rules. Please feel free to copy and distribute to teachers and interested students. We will also continue to award prizes for each grade - a certificate and cash award of thirty dollars for first place.

Should you have any questions please e-mail me. I will collect all of the finished posters on Tuesday, December 13. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Very truly yours,

Kevin O’Keefe, Chairman
