PROM GUIDELINES & DRESS CODE

GUIDELINES

1.   Tickets are non-refundable.

2.   All school rules apply.

3.   No smoking, alcohol or other mind altering substances allowed on the premises.

4.   Students should not be under the influence of any of the above substances (see # 3)

5.   Identification (driver’s license) is required for all people attending Prom. If someone is unable to show an ID, then they will not be able to enter the ballroom. Clements students should bring their CHS ID.

6.   Check the Clements website for a map to the hotel. The prom is in the adjacent building, not the hotel proper.

7.   Attire for the evening is formal wear. Please dress appropriately. (See dress code below.) If you or your date is inappropriately dressed, you will not be permitted to enter.

8.   If you leave the prom ballroom/ foyer area, you will not be readmitted.

9.   The prom King & Queen will be announced promptly at 11:00 p.m. (Prom court must be at the stage area at 10:50 in order to participate.)

10.   Voting for prom King and Queen will be at prom. Only seniors can vote. The ballot will close at 10:30 p.m.

DRESS CODE

Please be aware that there is a dress code for formal school functions. Listed below is an outline of what is and is not acceptable:

Dress for Females

ACCEPTABLE / UNACCEPTABLE
Backless bodice NO lower than the waist / Skirts shorter than fingertip length
Side, back, front cuts NOT exceeding fingertip length / Plunging Necklines
Necklines that cover bust/cleavage / Two-piece attire (bikini tops, corsette-type)
Halter/Strapless Dresses / Jeans
Long/Short Dressy Attire

Dress for Males

ACCEPTABLE / UNACCEPTABLE
Formal Attire—Tuxedo, suit, sport coat with slacks and a tie / Sagging Pants
Formal shirts not requiring a tie / Collar – less shirts
Appropriate Shoes / Sandals
Jeans
Scarves, headbands, doo-rags
