  • 2011 – 2013 : Worked as Senior Account Payable Accountant at Halliburton Worldwide Limited, Muscat, Oman.

Main responsibilities:

  • Process Equipment and Labor rental -LCC- invoices and maintain its monthly accruals.
  • Processing and solving issues with rejected invoices.
  • Suggest ways of improving the efficiency of invoice processing method.
  • Maintain petty cash and bank deposits.
  • Accrue every not processed invoices during the month to insure that we book the cost in the same month it occur.

2009- Taken an internship in Sultan Qaboos University Administration in Procurement Department in Oversea Procurement, Tender, and Ticketing section

2009- And in Finance Department from July 2009 till August in Payroll, Revenue, Treasury, Contracts, Budgeting, and Expenditure section.

Accomplishments

- Had given a training in Time management for Finance & Accounting team by helping them organize things to get the best use of their time.

- Had been one of Front Line Supervisor training instructors by covering the topic of Financial Management and supervisors responsibility in the company financials.

- Worked in Account Payable in Halliburton and solved many of the old issues by using what I had observed during my internship in the company. And help the company save money by carefully reviewing invoices with the supports and the contract.

- Have been trained in Account Payable at Halliburton for one month in which I have reviewed invoices, develop allocation sheet for expenses to its cost centre,I had reviewed some invoices in SAP to check if they are paid or in process of payment to inform the vendors, coded invoices in SAP.

- Have been trained in Account Receivables at Halliburton for one month in which I have created credit note for each invoice that had a discount, and I had recorded invoice information in Excel sheet before sending it to customers to keep track of each invoice sent and what is the total amount of it in case it they loss it and to know the month revenue.

- Have been trained in Finance Department in SQU Administration for one month in which I have learned how to develop a budget, review contracts conditions, process payment for usual expenses, process salary and chick for any wrong entries in all application before sending it to the internal Audit section and follow up the expenses of high studies students.

- Have been trained in the Procurement Department in SQU Administration for one month in which I have learned how to develop a purchase order, analyze the offers from different domestic and foreign suppliers, process the order, and follow it up till it is delivered to the end user.

- “Creative Play “is a feasibility study project that I had done it in a group where we analyzed the economic conditions, the industry and our competitors to get to know what are our opportunities and whither this project is worth to invest in.

- “Capital Budgeting” project report aims to find if the company should produce a product or buy it and what is the best decision to take. In which I used Excel to get the profit and cost of under taking the project.
