Rushford Town Board Meeting

Pat Kafer made a motion to accept the Clerk’s Minutes and Treasurer’s report

Tom Egan introduced John Selsing to the town and if they have any questions town related they may ask at this time.
Tom Egan brought up about the sale of the Town Hall and was wondering if the way we prepared it and advertised was correct. John Selsing thought it was done correctly.
Ellen Newman asked that the Township has the right to change the price even if at the Annual Meeting the town’s people wanted a certain amount. John Selsing stated that yes the town board can they are the governing body for the Town.
Tom Egan asked John to talk about the zoning meeting where they talked about adult entertainment and sexual predators. He stated that when you do have an ordinance you need to have the man power to back them up.
Tom Egan asked about the Boat clubs that want to get the locks going here in Eureka. They want to use our name as the governing body. Say if they want to write a grant they won’t give it to a club but will to a town. John thought he would like to know more and that the town should know more about it and that we would have to put that with our budget to make money available. John Selsing thought that we should have them look for other alternatives.
Pat Kafer asked about the Curt Carlson property. John Selsing stated that he sent an electric bill but Jerry Schoonover said that he only has a generator so he was not sure where the bill came from. Jerry Schoonover stated the judge made a ruling and Mr. Selsing stated yes he did and we can bring them back to court if the town would like.
Tom Egan asked if he heard anything about the Assessors Plat. Mr. Selsing stated that he has not heard anything about that in months. Pat Kafer asked him to check to make sure that the ball is not in Mr. Selsings court and that Liz has it.
Mr. Slesing also stated that the Frosty Mug must have something from the Rew’s that the liquor license can be transferred.
Tom Egan brought up about Ted Erdman does the ditches for Poygan. He works for T&C maintenance out of Waupaca. He did state that the Flale mower is $80.00 an hour and is a little slower but it does a better job. The disc mower is $60.00 an hour and is a faster mower. He is fully insured for 2 to 3 million.
Pat Kafer did check with his nephew and he is busy but will get a price and Pat is going to check Brookfield where the drop box was.
Tom Egan stated that he went by the stop sign on 37th and the flags are not there and Pat did contact the County about doing it.
Dkal also stated that he could trench a line to put an outlet on the light pole in the parking lot.
Pat Kafer talked about the lettering and today he received a fax with some 12 and 15 inch letters. They will check out the size on the Berlin Hall and then we will measure them on the building.
Tom Egan talked about the Master gardeners and they could not meet because we had John Selsing here for zoning.
The Master Gardeners will be meeting here on Monday March 16th 7:00 pm with Tom Traxler also who would give us trees or pay at a cheaper price.
Tom Egan also brought up about the bridge meeting that is Tuesday March 10th at 6:00pm
Tom Traxler also stated that he will sell trees for a cheaper rate to town’s people.
Pat Kafer brought up about the Rew and Ross memorial is going to give a donation to for a play ground set. We have to find out about the price to see what they will give.
We should check our insurance on having the play set outside.
Pat thought that it would be around 2 or 3 thousand dollars donated.
Annual Meeting will be the 8th of April 2009 and the regular town meeting will be the 1st of April 2009.
Road tour will be on the 8th of April also with the County starting at 9:00am.
Tom Jackson talked about the zoning and that Selsing did mention that it would probably be a $1000.00 fee to do the ordinances.
Tom Jackson went over 2 cond use permits that were expired
The terms for the members of the zoning board will be brought up at the annual meeting.
Pat Kafer went back to the signs on what size letters we should get.
Camille Schuster asked if we could ad Helen Larsen to the poll list for workers. Tom asked for a motion to accept that and Jerry Schoonover so moved and Pat Kafer seconded it. Passed.
Patsy Pomplun brought up about the trailer on Wildes old lot. Camille Schuster will send a letter and tell him that it has to be removed.
Jerry Schoonover talked about the WTA meeting and that the shared revenue will be cut and what we get for road repair will be getting cut. So we have to be careful.
Camille Schuster went over correspondence a letter from Mike Lettier about Winnebago county wide crime stoppers.
Pat Kafer went over that with Omro when they get the sand for the sand bags we pay part of that with the other municipalities.
Tom Egan brought up about the Health Dept having a meeting on March 10th at 8 or 9 am about if there is a health issue or a bad epidemic where to store the bodies.
Larry Hildebrand talked about a meeting that he attended about money for park directors
Tom Egan also stated that there is a sign on the county park that you can not take your dogs there anymore. Ellen Newman asked about putting a sign up about people to pick up after there animals in the park.
Pat Kafer brought up about the culvert.
Tom Egan stated that we will receive a bill from the County that someone hit a fire number and when we do we will pass it on to the resident that hit it.
Tom Egan went over the bills.
Tom Egan asked for a motion that we send a $40.00 bill to Pat Moriarty So moved by Pat Kafer seconded by Jerry Schoonover.

Pat Kafer made a motion that we adjourn the meeting Jerry Schoonover seconded it.
