x)Scheduling of Playoff Games - The following is the general process to be adhered to when scheduling Zone 2 playoff games/series. The overall objective is to have a fair and equitable playoff draw that will declare a Zone Champion as well as 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. This may be subject to change by the Zone 2 Board if necessitated by a particular situation:
(1)The Division Co-coordinator will inform the teams of their standings and their first round playoff opponents.
(2)The coaches and managers of the teams playing each other will schedule all the series games required such that the series can be completed as the schedule set out by the Division Co-coordinator who will be informed of the scheduling details prior to the game , sent copies of the final scoresheets within 24 hrs of game.
(3)In the event the 2 teams cannot come to agreement on the scheduling or cannot schedule the game in a time frame that will allow a Zone 2 Champion to be decided in the schedule set out by the division co-coordinator, they will immediately submit all their available ice to the Division Co-coordinator and the Division Co-coordinator will schedule the games for them.
xi)As in League play the Home team is responsible for providing ice. Each team will be responsible for providing a ref for the game, or the away team can approve of a ref provided by the home team. The visiting team will pay for the 2 refs and any travel expenses. For all playoff games the Home teams are required to notify the Zone 2 Referee-in-Chief of game times and who will be officiating these games at least 72 hrs prior to game time. This is to insure that qualified referee’s are being utilized for Zone 2 playoff games.
xii)All penalties not served in regulation time must be carried over into the overtime period.
