Rugby League 2 onXbox to include new features and content
Sydney, Australia – June23, 2006 – Home Entertainment Suppliers Pty Ltd (HES) announced today that Rugby League 2 will be available for Xbox on Thursday 13th July 2006.
Eagerly waiting Xbox owners will finally be able to enjoy the highly successful Rugby League 2 franchise on the Xbox video game console.
“Xbox owners have been very eager to know if Rugby League 2 for Xbox was going to eventuate,”said David Robles, Business Development Manager for HES. “We are now pleased to announce that they will indeed be able to enjoy Rugby League 2 with friends and family on their Xbox console”.
New Xbox only Rugby League 2 featuresinclude:
-Xbox Live multiplayer online play, allowing competitive and friendly play over the Internet, player rankings, statistics, and friends lists
-Updated team lists, uniforms and sponsors to reflect the 2006 season
-Live ‘on screen’ statistical data for players
-The New Zealand Haka
-Widescreen television support
Rugby League 2 also features:
-All major teams and competitions including the NRL, SuperLeague, State of Origin, City versus Country, and a host of International Teams
-Gameplay features including ball stripping, shoulder barges, diving on and kicking the loose ball, contesting the high ball, pass to playmaker and more
-Multi-year Franchise Mode, including player contract management, injuries, judiciary, and mid season representative games
-Highly realistic, individually modelled likenesses for over 500 players
-Lifelike animation, motion captured by Weta Digital, the VFX wizards behind The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy
The gamewill be releasedunder Tru Blu Games, the publishing division of HES. A full range of official NRL team branded XBOX controllers are also scheduled for launch by HES soon after the release of Rugby League 2 for XBOX.
Rugby League 2 for Xbox will be available for $69.95 RRP on Thursday 13th July 2006 from all major retailers and specialist gaming stores.
