Sales, Marketing & Distribution Branch

The Sales, Marketing & Distribution Branch is responsible for designing, developing and promoting the Mint’s official collector coin (numismatic) programs, and brands of the Royal Australian Mint. It is a commercially focused profit driven business within the Mint. This Branch also serves as a Gallery as a tourist attraction complemented by educational programs for touring groups.

Mint Coin Shop

The Mint Coin Shop, located in the foyer area of the Mint, looks after sales and enquiries for all visitors to the Mint.

Job Description

This position is located within the Coin Shop of the Royal Australian Mint which supports the Contact Centre. The Shop is the front line in face to face customer service to visitors, including our regular numismatic collectors, school tours and national and international tourists. The Shop provides quality numismatic products, souvenirs and some very special gift ideas. The person we are looking for will have lots of personality mixed with a professional attitude in this sometimes very fast paced environment.

Individual role within the Team

Under limited supervision, carry out a range of tasks in a retail environment, specifically:

·  Conduct over the counter sales

·  Prepare the Mint’s coin shop for opening and undertake closing procedures

·  Assist with receipting goods and weekly stock takes

·  Assist with investigation and reporting of customer complaints

·  Preparing opening and closing of Public Press
