This Award is for club activities between July 1, 2017 and May 15, 2018.
Please follow all submission procedures and instructions, and use the District form provided for your club-submissions. Be sure to briefly describe each activity and also include date of event, number of members and others that participated listing number of hours and financial investment the club and/or members made. This is the same level of event details as required in club submissions for Award of Excellence. Then total your club points at the end of the form. No late submissions will be accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: For this award, the Committee is looking for clubs to have engaged in a wide-range and number of different community projects per item.
(1) Complete one solo club service project within the community for a beneficiary other than youth (10 points)
(2) Participate in a community project, which requires partnership with another non-Rotary organization within the community (15 points)
(3) Complete a joint project with another Rotary Club in the District to benefit a local community (15 points)
(4) Conduct a community service project that addresses one of Rotary’s six areas of focus (peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development) (10 points)
(5) Sponsor a needy family during the winter holiday season (10 points)
(6) Sponsor food and/or other kind of community project completed on Done in a Day Saturday and reported to District Newsletter. (10 points)
(7) Sponsor and participate in District Flag for Heroes project. (10 points)
(6) Complete a service project in partnership with the local schools (10 points)
(7) Complete a community service activity for the elderly (5 points)
(8) Conduct or update the club’s community needs assessment (10 points)
(9) Completed a significant community service project involving the active participation of all club members within the last 12 months (15 points)
