RON JON SURF SHOP HOSTS FACEBOOK CONTEST DESIGNED

TO RAISE AWARENESS OF LOCAL CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS

Cocoa Beach, Fla. – (Dec. 5, 2011) – Ron Jon Surf Shop will conduct a Facebook promotion to highlight local charitable groups during the holiday season.

Ron Jon has selected five charitable organizations with ties to Central Florida and will ask its more than 50,000 Facebook fans to vote for the group they would like to see receive $2,500 in cash and two custom Ron Jon Surf Shop surfboards for use in an auction. The other four finalists will receive $500.

The five groups selected:

·  Surfers for Autism

·  To Write Love on Her Arms

·  Second Harvest Food Bank

·  Toys for Tots

·  SPCA of Central Florida

Voting will open on Friday, December 9 at 12 p.m. and conclude Friday, December 16 at 12 p.m.

"We look forward to providing much-need exposure and resources to these very worthy causes, particularly during the holiday season," said Heather Lewis, director of marketing at Ron Jon Surf Shop. "Our goal is to showcase these outstanding organizations to our Facebook fans in hopes that they would join us in providing support."
