“The Cineplex/WorldGaming Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Edition” (the “Tournament”) Official Rules and Regulations

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER THE TOURNAMENT OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. NOTWTIHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, ENTRANTS MUST HAVE A PLAYSTATION® PLUS ACCOUNT TO PARTICIPATE AND THERE IS A COST ASSOCIATED WITH MAINTAINING SUCH AN ACCOUNT.

Individuals that are participants in Activision’s Call of Duty World League tournament may not participate in the Cineplex/WorldGaming Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Edition tournament. In the event that the ADMINISTRATOR becomes aware of an Entrant’s participation in the Call of Duty World League tournament, that Entrant will be disqualified.

1.  TOURNAMENT DATE

§  By entering and participating in the Tournament, each Entrant, as defined below, unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and Regulations (the "Tournament Rules") and the decisions of the Administrator, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

§  Dates and times are subject to change. Any changes to the dates/times will be provided to the Regional Qualifiers (as defined below) and Championship Qualifiers (as defined below) no later than 72 hours prior to the event date.

2.  ADMINISTRATOR

§  2480625 Limited Partnership, 208 Adelaide Street West, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 1W7, is solely responsible for conducting and administrating the Tournament (“Administrator”).

3.  ELIGIBILITY

§  Subject to the following restrictions:

o  The Tournament is open to Canadian Residents, who reside in Canada during the duration of the Tournament schedule, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older before the close of the Registration Period.

o  Entry in the Tournament is subject to the terms and conditions found at http://worldgaming.com/terms-and-conditions. All Entrants must have a WorldGaming account. There are no fees or service charges to create or maintain an account.

o  Any Entrant under the age of majority in his/her province of residence (a “Minor”) must have his/her parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter and participate in the Tournament. Minor’s that qualify for the Canadian Championship will be required to provide Administrator with written permission from his/her parent or legal guardian in a manner satisfactory to Administrator before being allowed to participate. If the parent or legal guardian does not consent to signing the Declaration (as defined below), the Entrant will be disqualified. To clarify, all entrants must be at least 18 to participate. In certain provinces, the age of majority is 19. If you are 18 and live in a province where the age of majority is 19, you must have permission from a parent to participate.

o  As set out in Rule 10 below, all Entrants that qualify for the Canadian Championship will be required to sign a declaration and release confirming his or her understanding of, compliance with, and acceptance of the Tournament Rules with a standard release of all liability (the “Declaration”) before being permitted to participate in the Canadian Championship. Employees, officers and directors of the Administrator, Cineplex Entertainment LP (“Cineplex”), Intertaintech Inc., WG Limited (Intertaintech Inc. and WG Limited are collectively referred to as “WorldGaming”) and any Tournament sponsors including but not limited to Sony Computer Entertainment Canada Inc. (“SCEC”) (collectively referred to as “Tournament Sponsors”) and their respective parents, affiliated and subsidiary entities and the immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling, child) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers or directors are not eligible to participate in the Tournament.

§  The Administrator shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity, date of birth and/or residency to show eligibility to participate in the Tournament. Failure to provide such proof if requested shall result in disqualification.

§  The Tournament is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

4.  HOW TO REGISTER

§  Eligible individuals who choose to enter the Tournament ("Entrants") may do so during the Registration Period by navigating to http://worldgaming.com (the "Website"), registering for a WorldGaming account or signing into an existing account, and entering into any of the Cineplex/WorldGaming Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Edition branded tournaments. Entrants must have a PlayStation® 4 console, a PS4™ copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (the “Game”), and an active PlayStation® Plus account in order to enter the Tournament. There is a cost associated with maintaining a PlayStation® Plus account. Entrants should note that the Game will be played on a PlayStation® 4 during the Regional Finals and Canadian Championship.

5.  HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT

Online Qualifiers:

§  How to Enter:

o  Entrants may participate in the Online Qualifiers by navigating to the Website, logging into their WorldGaming account, and entering into any of the location-specific Cineplex/WorldGaming Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Edition branded tournaments. These will appear on the Website as “Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 – theatre location”. Entrants are only permitted to enter one tournament. The location identified corresponds to the location of the Regional Finals where Entrants will be required to attend if they are the winner of the Online Qualifiers. For example, an Entrant entering into a “Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 –Silvercity London” tournament will only be eligible to qualify for the Silvercity London Regional Finals event. While entrants are permitted to enter any of the location-specific Online Qualifiers, the Entrant, if deemed a winner of a bracket competition during the Online Qualifiers, will be required to attend the location of the Regional Finals for the tournament selected at his/her sole cost and expense. In the event that an Entrant has entered more than one tournament using the same or different email addresses or WorldGaming account, that Entrant may be disqualified by Administrator’s sole discretion and will be removed from all further tournaments during the Online Qualifiers by the Administrator.

§  How to Play:

o  Each tournament entered into has a pre-determined start time which can be found by viewing the tournament under the ‘My Tournaments’ tab of an Entrant’s personal WorldGaming account.

o  Matches for these tournaments are automatically generated on the Website at the start time. Entrants must then complete the match using their Game, reporting the results on the Website afterwards under the ‘Report Center’ tab of their WorldGaming account.

o  Game Settings for all bracket competitions during the Online Qualifiers:

§  Series: Best of 1

§  Round Time Limit: 10 Minutes

§  Round Score Limit: 30

§  Maps:

o  Advanced in-game settings to be provided on the Website for each individual bracket competition.

§  How to Win:

o  The Online Qualifiers will consist of eight (8) bracket competitions to be held on:

·  Saturday January 16 and Sunday January 17

·  Wednesday January 20 and Thursday January 21

·  Saturday January 23 and Sunday January 24

·  Wednesday January 27 and Thursday January 28

·  Saturday January 30 and Sunday January 31

·  Tuesday February 2 and Wednesday February 3

·  Thursday February 4 and Friday February 5

·  Saturday February 6 and Sunday February 7

·  All start times will be posted on the Website by the Administrator.

These will be free-to-enter single-elimination brackets open to all Entrants, with player seeding generated sequentially based on time of entry. Entrants will only be playing against other Entrants that have registered for the same location-specific Cineplex/WorldGaming Canadian Championships – Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Edition branded tournaments. Entrants will be able to pre-register for the tournaments taking place on January 16, 20, 24, and 28 on January 11 at 9:00am EST. Entrants will be able to pre-register for the tournaments taking place on January 30, and on February 3, 6, and 7 on January 20 at 9:00am EST. All Online Qualifier brackets will begin at the designated start time regardless of the number of Entrants. If an Online Qualifier bracket does not fill to maximum capacity by the designated start time it will still play out in full and all Entrants up to that point will be able to compete.

o  Entrants placing in the top four (4) of each of these brackets will qualify for the corresponding Regional Finals, for a total of thirty-two (32) Regional Qualifiers for each Regional Finals location.

o  Once an Entrant wins a bracket competition he/she will be deemed a Regional Qualifier and will no longer be able to play the Game during the remainder of the Online Qualifiers.

o  In the event that a Regional Qualifier is unable to attend the Regional Finals or is disqualified or found to be ineligible by the Administrator a replacement will be determined, at the discretion of the Administrator, by selecting the Entrant from the corresponding February 7 location-specific bracket competition that placed 5th-8th in the competition and played the most Games on the Website during the Online Qualifiers.

Regional Finals:

·  How to Play:

o  Each Regional Finals event will consist of a one-day single-elimination bracket competition held on February 21, 2016 at Cineplex theatres as described below in Section 6. The start time for each event is approximately 3:00pm local time. The exact start time will be communicated to the Regional Qualifiers by email on or before February 18, 2016.

o  Entrants that qualify for the Regional Finals (each a “Regional Qualifier”, collectively, “Regional Qualifiers”) must be willing and available to participate in the Regional Finals on the date and time and at a location as determined by the Administrator or he/she will forfeit their right to participate in said event.

o  Game Settings:

§  Mode: Free-for-all

§  Series: Best of 3

§  Time Limit: 6 Minutes

§  Score Limit: 20

§  Maps:

o  Game 1: Combine

o  Game 2: Infection

o  Game 3 (if necessary): Fringe

·  Round 2:

o  Game 1: Hunted

o  Game 2: Combine

o  Game 3 (if necessary): Infection

·  Round 3:

o  Game 3 (if necessary): Combine

·  Round 4:

o  Game 1: Infection

o  Game 2: Fringe

o  Game 3 (if necessary): Hunted

·  Round 5:

o  Game 1: Combine

o  Game 3 (if necessary): Fringe

o  General tournament format, advanced in-game settings, and rules to ensure a fair competition will be provided to Regional Qualifiers at the Regional Finals.

o  All players must bring their own PS4 controller. See Section 9 for additional details and restrictions regarding player equipment.

§  How to Win:

o  The selection of the qualifiers for the Canadian Championship (the “Championship Qualifiers”) will be held during the Regional Finals and a single-elimination bracket competition held on the Website on February 28, 2016 (the “Online Runners-up/Wild Card Qualifier “ as described below). This will determine the individuals who will qualify to compete in the Canadian Championship to be held live on March 6, 2016 in Toronto, Ontario at The Scotiabank Theatre, 259 Richmond Street West, Toronto, ON, M5V 3M6. Player seeding in the Regional Finals and the Online Runners-up/Wild Card Qualifier will be random.

o  The selection of thirty-two (32) Championship Qualifiers for the Canadian Championship will be based on the following:

§  Each of the twenty-four (24) Regional Finals winners will qualify.

§  Online Runners-up/Wild Card Qualifier

Eight (8) additional Championship Qualifiers will be determined by a single-elimination online bracket, to take place on the Website on February 28, 2016. The bracket will be made up of the twenty-four (24) runners’ up from the Regional Finals plus eight (8) additional wild card entries. Wild card entries will be awarded to the top eight (8) third place finishers from all Regional Finals, ranked based on their total number of points earned in the 3rd place Game at the Regional Finals event. In the event of a tie, the Entrant that earned the most points collectively at the Regional Finals will be deemed the winner of the wild card spot. Entrants that qualify for the wild card spots will be notified within 48 hours of the end of the Regional Finals. To qualify for the Canadian Championship an Entrant must place in the top eight (8) of the Online Runners-up/Wild Card Qualifier.

o  In the event that a Championship Qualifier is unable to attend the Canadian Championship or is disqualified or found to be ineligible by the Administrator a replacement will be determined, at the discretion of the Administrator, by selecting the Entrant that finished in 9th-16th place in the Online Runners-up/Wild Card Qualifier that earned the most points collectively at the Regional Finals.

Canadian Championship:

§  The Canadian Championship event will consist of a one-day single-elimination bracket competition held on March 6, 2016 at the Scotiabank Theatre, 259 Richmond Street West, Toronto, ON, M5V 3M6. Player seeding in the Canadian Championship will be random.

§  Prizes to be awarded based on Championship Qualifier’s final ranking as described below in Section 7.

§  The Canadian Championship will be in accordance with the instructions of the Administrator. Any disputes will be resolved by an independent judging organization, whose decision shall be final, conclusive and binding. The judges’ decisions shall be made strictly in accordance with these Tournament Rules and any other rules and procedures put in place for the Canadian Championship.
