PTM Meeting

December 2, 2015

Roll Call - Michele, Carrie, Jen, Cami, Crystal, Heather, Karen, Lyndie

Last meeting’s minutes were approved.

Treasurer’s report was approved.

Box Tops and Soup Labels Report

- Soup Labels will be sent in byDecember 11thin order to receive double points. A total will be available by the next meeting.

- The PTM will be using 4100 Soup Label points to order an Igloo water cooler. Remaining points will be used throughout the year.

- A classroom Box Tops competition will start in February. Box Tops collected will need to be postmarked by March 1st in order to receive a check in April.

Old Business

- Outstanding payouts

The PTM will be writing a check for the Book Fair.

- PT Conference Dinner

The dinner was a success and many parents brought food for the teachers. The PTM agreed to Ms. Kouba’s suggestion of having a set time for dinner during the conferences.

- The Veterans Day lunch and vision screening was a success, thanks to our volunteers!

New Business

- Teacher Requests were reviewed. A request was approved for Ms. Chanin’s Math Team.

- Ms. Haas has requested parent volunteers to help direct kids during the Winter Concert onDecember 21st. Ms. Kouba, Heather, Jen and Michele have volunteered to help.

- Ms. Haas also asked if we could have cookies and cocoa for kids and parents after the concert. The PTM agreed to host. All members in attendance volunteered to bring cookies. Crystal will call more parents for cookies.

Work Projects

- The thermometer for the Playground will be updated as additional funds come in.

- Ms. Kouba asked if we could detail the Box Top report more for the District paper. We would like to ask the community to donate Box Tops as well. Michele is going to call the Three Mile Store and ask if they will host a donation box for us. Crystal will help in writing a detailed report.

- The fundraiser items will be delivered to the school onDecember 10th. Lyndie, Jen, and Michele will organize the deliveryon Thursdayafternoon so things are ready to be delivered to classrooms onDecember 11th.

- Kim bought the organizer for the school store items. The School Store can officially start. Ms. Kouba has a log sheet to help volunteers open and close the store. Michele is going to confirm with Cami when she will be able to run the store. The schedule and volunteer list is as follows:

Open Floor

- The 5k fun run fundraiser was discussed. Crystal will ask a volunteer to come to our next meeting to give tips on how to set up a fun run. Lyndie suggested contacting the Runner’s Edge for help as well. They have official timers and rules on how to measure the distance of the route.

- A Sweetheart/Family Dance was suggested for February 11th. This will be discussed in more detail at the next meeting.
