Who is Healios and what is this service?
Healios is an organisation that partners with the NHS to deliver high-quality onlinehealthcare services, includingdiagnostic assessments and treatments.
The Healios Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Assessment is a comprehensive diagnostic assessmentservice carried out by qualified clinicians online. This means you can be assessed for autism at your home or a private place of your choice. You will be able to interact with your clinician through our live interactive video facility.
You can invite people who are important in your life to join you for the assessment. They can take part from a different location if they choose.
Both you and people you choose to join you must have an internet connection and a private computer orsmart device (iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, etc.)
Your assessment can be arranged between 8am – 9pm on mostdays of the week. You can suggest the best day and time of day for you. Healios will endeavour to accommodate your choice, but there may be times when we need to agree an alternative day or time of day for your appointment.
What does theAutism Spectrum ConditionsDiagnostic Assessment Serviceinvolve?
- Up to four online video sessions with an experienced and qualified Healios clinician. The sessions usually take approximately 40 minutes, but one may take up to 3 hours, depending on your needs.
- Online questionnaires for completion between the sessions.
Quick and Easy Set-Up
There will be a session with the Healios Intake Coordinator to:
- help you get started
- explain more about the service and answer your questions about the process
- Schedule your first session with a Healios clinician
Healios will also Provide:
- Weekly email reminders about your session appointments and questionnaires that need to be completed.
- Access to your personal “My Healios” online portal to review session notes, book and reschedule sessions
- Personal messaging to your Healios clinician so that you can ask questions. Your clinician will reply when next available.

Data Protection
Completion of the consent form allows Autism Oxfordto pass your referral information to Healios. All your personal detailswill be securely stored using the latest security measures. Healios meets all NHS standards for the safe storing of personal data.
As part of the service, information needed for the purposes of the diagnostic assessment will be collected. We will also ask for feedback on your experience with our service.
The UK Data Protection Act 1998 will apply to all information gathered by Healios. No information will be accessed by anyone other than Healios. If you decide to stop your service and ask to withdraw your details, all traces will be removed from the records.
You have the right to stop your participation at any time and without giving any reason.
