Role: Learning Activities Assistant

Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm (please tell us if you can only do part of these hours)

Role Outline

To support the Learning Team with the delivery of the February half term activities. This half term will focus on Pop Art with families joining in with a different craft activity each day. See the What’s On section of the website for a full breakdown of activities.

Background information

The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum is an award winning museum, and was named Britain’s most family friendly museum in 2010 by Kids In Museum and was shortlisted again in 2017. Our permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions feature lots of exciting interactives and child friendly content, guaranteeing that our family audiences have a fun and memorable experience during their visit. During the Coventry school holidays we run craft activities and art workshops aimed at children aged 3+, but all are welcome to join in.

Main Duties and Activities

·  Greeting members of the public and introducing them to the learning activities

·  Taking payment for craft activities in the Learning Spaces

·  Supporting staff in the delivery of craft activities

·  Assisting our team with the set up and tidy up of activities

·  Overseeing the free make and take activities at the weekend.
