JOB DESCRIPTION

Rockford Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital part of our team. Additionally, staff must be willing to lead and/or participate in Bible study, prayer, devotions, chapel and sharing the Gospel.

JOB TITLE:WEEKEND COORDINATOR

REPORTS TO:Women’s Life Recovery Program Supervisor

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To be responsible for supervising and coordinating all client activity and in-house work assignments of the women participating in the Recovery Program during the weekend hours. To insure the safety and security of the RRMM building complex housing the Recovery Program.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Requires sitting 50% of the time. Occasional travel to various locations.

A.INVOLVEMENT WITH WOMEN’S LIFE RECOVERY PROGRAM

1.Monitor in-house work assignments and performance of clients.

2.Assist in the transportation of Recovery Program clients with medical, mental health, employment and other necessary outside appointments and Saturday shopping trips.

3.Supervise Sunday operations. Be available to those staying in-house due to illness on Sunday mornings.

4.Conduct random and as indicated drug screening with Recovery Program clients.

5.Supervise resident visitor hours.

6.Monitor medicines needed by residents during weekend shift.

7.Transport residents as needed.

8.Other duties as assigned.

B.CLERICALRESPONSIBILITIES

1.Document all Recovery Program activities and file appropriately (i.e., daily log book, incident reports, client and guest files, etc.).

2.Write resident observations.

3.Assist in other areas of ministry as needed or perform duties as assigned.

C.PHYSICAL FACTORS

1.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

2.Standing for extended periods of time.

3.Reaching and bending.

D.QUALIFICATIONS

1.Must have strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

2.MinimumrequirementHigh School Diploma or GED.

3.Must be active in a local Christian church.

4.Must demonstrate compassion toward the poor, needy and homeless.

5.Must have strong leadership qualities and demonstrate character traits of integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility, etc.

6.Must display respect, gentleness and accountability when interacting with the Recovery Program clients.

7.Must engage in safe and healthy work practices, both on the premises and off-site facilities. Must take an active part ensuring the safety, health and well-being of all of our employees, volunteers and Mission guests.

8.Must be teachable and function as a team player.

9.J02 license required.
