Greetings,
As many of you have been enquiring about and already know, we will be holding a Spiritual “Fasting” Camp this year on July 19th – July 26th, 2014.
Chief Mountain, Montana has been chosen as the site for this years’ Spiritual “Fasting” Camp. Chief Mountain is a sacred site and one of the doorways to the spirit world. It is also a site abundant with Spirits and a place where miracles and Strengthening of the Spirit happens.
The foundation for “Strengthening the Spirit” begins with our individual self and our personal relationship with the Creator. As we build a strong spirit, only then can our physical, our mental and our emotional self start down that road of life where we can restore health and happiness, forgive, forget, release, love, cherish, respect and contribute to the positive growth of oneself, those we love and to those people in the larger Aboriginal communities.
When an individual is balanced emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually positive change happens. Positive change takes, one, two, three…individuals who are willing to step up to the plate. Let this change start with you.
The Spiritual “Fasting” Camp is based on philosophy congruent to Aboriginal Culture, Traditions and Worldview. It is a philosophy that acknowledges the interrelatedness and interdependence of all life to the Creator. This worldview reinforces the sacredness of all relationships and provides the Spiritual foundation of Aboriginal Culture and Traditions. This process of Traditional Education is perceived as a lifelong quest in which the Spiritual Camp attempts to introduce, re-enforce and facilitate.
Holistic approaches, which integrate and balance the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of human growth to development, are introduced through the activities and learning opportunities of the camp experience.
The participation and involvement of Traditional Knowledge Keepers, Ceremonialists, Herbalists, Helpers and other resource people in the lectures, pipe ceremonies, sweat lodge ceremonies and in other areas are core components of the Spiritual Camp.

Schedule & Registration
Enrollment in the 2014 Spiritual “Fasting” Camp.
Enrolling in the 2014 Spiritual “Fasting” Camp involves choosing to participate, filling out the registration form, and placing a deposit to secure your space. This years’ Spiritual “Fasting” Camp is kept small to guarantee personal attention and feedback (limited to a maximum of 25 participants) and is filled on a first-come, first served basis.
Registration, Costs, and Cancellations
The fee for the 2014 Spiritual “Fasting” Camp is $1250.00 if a participant registers 14 days or more in advance, and $1350.00 thereafter. Advance registration with a non-refundable deposit of $625.00 is required, with the balance due 7 days prior to the start of the Spiritual “Fasting” Camp. Upon receipt of your registration form and deposit, you will be sent a packet containing a manual and other information on preparation, map, directions and a list of supplies required. In addition, you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and liability release form.
Think seriously about whether you are ready to do this before you commit. Indecision and anxiety, especially as the date of the Spiritual Camp approaches, are a common experience, and the choice to act from ones’ purpose and intention rather than ones’ fears is an important and empowering decision.
Should unavoidable circumstances make your participation impossible, your deposit may be applied toward a future program if you notify us at least a month prior to the scheduled start date or your deposit can be transferrable to another participant attending from your family and/or community.
You will receive a full refund for the 2014 Spiritual “Fasting” Camp, if for any reason the camp is canceled, although this rarely happens.
Scheduling
The experience of a Spiritual “Fast” is profound and often marks a pivotal point in major life transitions. We highly recommend that you declare your intention early to allow for a thorough preparation. Early enrollment facilitates scheduling since the Spiritual Camp program often fills up; it also allows you more time to make travel and accommodation arrangements, prepare your traditional offerings and ensure you have all your required supplies.

Cancellations / Substitutions: Any requests for replacing a registrant with another person must be received in writing no later than July 12, 2014. All substitutions will be processed between July 12-15, 2014.
Payment Method:Certified Check, Money Order or Band Government Check must be in Canadian funds payable to: Kakakaway and Associates. (NO Purchase Orders (PO), or personal checks are accepted.) Registration confirmation/receipt and further information will be sent via email.
