Profitable Purchasing Strategies

Purchasing Strategies for World Class Performance

January 23rd – 25th, 2007. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

Richard May, FCIPS

As Purchasing Director for a major multinational in Asia Paciifc, he is credited with leading the first ever successful across-Asia Pacific integration of the Procurement Process. His particular area of interest is in facilitating in-company, cross-cultural cross-functional teams in the effective implementation of corporate-wide change programmes focused on the Procurement Process.

PROGRAMME OUTLINE

Successful organizations worldwide, whether public or private sector, or manufacturing or service focused, are turning away from the long-held view of Purchasing as a tactical, cost-down focused function. The balance between buyers and sellers is dynamic and new approaches must be adopted by Chief Executive Officers so that Risks and Opportunities in Supply Markets are proactively and successfully managed.

This executive level, intensive and highly interactive 3 day workshop, which is oriented towards decision-makers, focuses on the strategic issues being raised by these changes and examines how they interface with each aspect of the purchasing process.
