Bobcat Chorus Membership Contract 2016-2017
To be in chorus this year, YOU, your PARENT/GUARDIAN(S), and your TEACHER(S), must read and sign this chorus contract. You may then audition for Mrs. Day during school hours TBA. The results will be posted online at soon as auditions are completed.
1.Purpose: My reason for auditioning for this club is to learn more about music, become a better singer, and to share my talents and skills with others through performance. In so doing, I will develop self-confidence and poise in the skills of public address and stage presence.
2.It is an honor to be in this club, and only deserving students are permitted to join. You must be in 4th or 5th grade, scored high in music, and must maintain a satisfactory averagein your classroom work and conduct.
3.Missing rehearsals may result in not being allowed to perform in concerts/performances. You are expected to attend any scheduled concerts/performances. A written excuse is required should you miss these programs in order to remain in chorus.
4.You are expected to observe all classroom rules and music rules during rehearsals. After three (3) recognized offenses, your contract will be terminated. You are responsible for your own behavior.
All regularly scheduled chorus rehearsals for this year will be held on Mondays before school, 7:30am-8:30am. Students may begin arriving at 7:20am. **Students will be notified if they are in the ensemble and when rehearsals will begin**
There will be holiday performances in the fall/winter, performances in the spring, and possible festival performances. Dates will be forthcoming in a schedule given out the second week of rehearsals each semester. There will also be a parent meeting in the fall and spring to go over all information.
