REVEREND IAN BLYDE BSc. BD. MA (PGCE)

As Rector of Brixham I am very pleased to be the ex officio Foundation Governor of Galmpton

C of E (VA) School.

Having spent a large part of my life in schools (as a teacher, governor and a chaplain) I greatly value my visits into the school and the opportunities to share in strengthening the links between School and Church.

I have been Chair of Torbay SACRE (Standing Authority Concerning Religious Education) and Chair of Christians Together in Brixham. I am also an assistant examiner in RS for WJEC.

My hobbies include riding and restoring motorcycles, listening to music (particularly but not exclusively blues) and keeping up with developments in the science /religion interface.

I am married with three grown up children.

MRS ANNE TULLY

I have been a Diocesan Foundation Governor of Galmpton C of E Primary School for 25 years, with experience of being Chair of Governors and Chair of Finance, Premises, Health and Safety Committee, of which I still serve.

My enthusiasm for the wellbeing of the school is from the early eighties when our children started their education. I became an active member of the energetic PTA and Chair of this vibrant organisation which has been, and still is, an important part of school life.

I volunteer to help promote swimming and water safety skills to all pupils, as I think this is a vital life skill, especially with the sea and River Dart so close.

My husband and I run our own business locally, and I am a local magistrate and also the Chair of Governors at Churston Ferrers Grammar School.
