Next Realty, with offices in Tysons Corner, VA, is a boutique, full-service real estate brokerage firm in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area providing Landlord and Tenant representation services. Our office is seeking a qualified candidate with sales training and/or relavent experience to work with principals of the firm as a commercial real estate broker and a new member of our team. Next Realty provides expert advice and execution in the disciplines of tenant representation, agency leasing, surplus property disposition, development advisory, and investment sales. Next Realty exclusively represents best-in-class retailers including Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michael’s Arts & Crafts, Corner Bakery Café and BJ’s Wholesale Club as well as large shopping owners and developers including Kimco Realty, LaSalle Investment Management and The Peterson Companies.

Job Summary:

A commercial real estate broker is best described as someone who facilitates a meeting of the minds between two parties with corresponding property interests. Whether representing a property owner seeking a retailer to lease space within their project, or a tenant looking for new locations to expand their concept, a commercial real estate broker must have a grasp of both current and future conditions within the market. Depending on the nature of the assignment, a broker will spend time in the office, car, and on-location.

The candidate will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the real estate business, network with contacts in the industry, attend national trade shows, gain a tremendous understanding of the commercial retail brokerage business as well as work for two of the top performing brokers in the market/country.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

·  Market retail space to prospective retailers and restaurants

·  Negotiate letters of intent

·  Prepare site visits

·  Consult with clients to develop and execute real estate strategies to meet the client’s business needs

·  Project coordination between clients and in-house marketing – responding to client needs for materials, preparing site submittals, keeping project update charts

·  Assist in the preparation of project leasing brochures and tenant requirement emails for submittal to marketing department

Qualifications:

·  Strong work ethic: The candidate must be self-motivated with a passion for business

·  Personable: The candidate will have direct contact with clients handling requests for information as well as obtain information from public sources

·  Tenacious: The candidate will be asked to get information that is difficult to obtain. Must be persistent in getting information

·  Independent thinker: The candidate must possess the ability to think through tasks and self-sufficiently consult resources available to him/her to obtain requisite information and complete all tasks competently and thoroughly.

·  Creative thinker with a team mentality

·  Strong written and oral communication skills

·  Minimum of a Bachelor Degree

·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office

·  Strong organization skills and attention to detail are a must.
