Only entrants who have been accredited with the Taste Of Staffordshire marque are allowed to enter this award.

This award aims to reward high quality Restaurantswho contribute to the long-term sustainability of the local community in which they live and run their business. These are establishments whose primary purpose is for dining, providing table service of meals where the menu typically consists of starter, main course and dessert dishes as a minimum.

Who can enter?

Only entrants who have been accredited with the Taste Of Staffordshire marque are allowed enter this award.

  • Your business must be located within the county of Staffordshire and pay business rates to a Staffordshire local authority
  • Your business must have achieved a minimum 3* environmental health assessment
  • Establishments whose primary purpose is for dining, providing table service of meals where the menu typically consists of starter, main course and dessert dishes as a minimum.
  • Fully licensed, may have a bar which is available to diners only, for drinks as a precursor to meals and dinner service.
  • Opening hours include evening opening.
  • No limit or distinction between seating capacity or size of establishment.
  • Likely to be elegant in style, with an emphasis on food presentation.
  • A high degree of culinary expertise in the preparation and presentation of meals using fresh seasonal ingredients.
  • A high degree of attention to detail in the service of meals and attending to individual customer needs.
  • High quality napery, table appointments, glassware and crockery, amenities and decor.
  • Evidence of other awards such as rosettes is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Your business must comply with all current fire, hygiene, employment, and health and safety legislation.

Judging

The winner will be judged solely from the judge’s visit accreditation scores.

Terms & Conditions

By submitting an entry into the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism Awards, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

  • The closing date for receipt of entriesis 5pm on 30 September 2015.
  • Employees or representatives/agents of Destination Staffordshire are not eligible for entry into the Awards
  • Businesses can enter more than one category, but separate entry forms and supplementary information must be completed for each.
  • Each category may have additional eligibility criteria such as a specific Quality Rating or Quality Award. Please check the ‘Who can enter’ section above for more information.
  • Please note that by becoming shortlisted the business automatically becomes a finalist. However, the judges reserve the right to give Gold, Silver, and Highly Commended Awards at their discretion.
  • By entering the Awards, you agree to be part of the publicity if you are shortlisted in any category.
  • Please note that Destination Staffordshire or their agents, do not accept responsibility for the return of any entries and/or supplementary information, including those consisting of artistic or other material.
  • The judges’ decisions are final and they cannot enter into discussion about the shortlisting process, choice of finalists or choice of winners.
  • In the event of any dispute regarding the awards criteria, application forms, judging process or any other matter relating to the Awards, the decision of Destination Staffordshire’s appointed Judges shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  • All businesses entering the competition can be given written feedback from the judges on request up to two weeks after the award ceremony.
  • Only the overall top two establishments entered into any of the Taste awards (Restaurant, Tearoom/Coffee Shop, and Retailer sections) will be to go through to the Visit England Awards and it will be businesses responsibility to confirm all data sent on-line.
