Lynn and class,
Wow, this could be viewed as a loaded question... I would start by telling them I learned a lesson that was more than the math itself, according to my wife that included a new language as she has told me over the last fews weeks one of my verbal expressions over learning the material in this coarse has had its frustrating moments. I would probably tell the neighbor to be ready for a challenge and to consider a good calculator before starting the class. I would share with them there is opportunity to learn how to work through formulas that will create challenge.

I would tell her that I learned a lot of information that I never thought about using in life. Math is important in every part of our lives and that we should try to learn as much as we can. An aspect of math that I have learned from this course was the many functions. I am still unclear of how they all work together. It is a challenge and to take it on you have to mentally prepare yourself or you will have a really hard time. I have a couple scientific calculators and I never used them because I didn't know how to use the function keys but thanks to the material on this course I will be able to use them properly.

If I had to choose a concept that was easy I would first say their was not one, but I really like learning about the Polynomials in week 1.It was easier for me because of the videos, and the textbook. I was also able to use the help me tab, with in our study plan. The hardest for me I would say is week 8 Graphing of inverse function only because I was not able to understand how to use the graph lines. It took a while to get the concept of this step. For me I think that this concept would have been easier if I could remember how to plot the graph on the horizontal line intersects.

Hello Lynn and class,
One concept that I learned in this course that was the easiest to grasp was the factoring. I think that this was the easiest for me to learn because it involved order, factoring special types of polynomial expressions, using the greatest common factors and factoring trinomial expressions. The steps for factoring was very clear for me. The hardest for me was the rational expressions. I think that everything that you provided to learn these concepts was great, the worksheets, the examples and discussions. I just feel like people will grasp some things differently from others and it may take more time. But, as I continued to work on the concepts that I had trouble with, I was able to get a better understanding of them.
