REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: ERP SYSTEMS

Thank you for your request for information on ERP systems in the Forestry Commission which we received on 18 November 2015.

Our policy is to be as open with the information that we hold as possible and I am pleased to advise you that the Forestry Commission is able to provide you with some of the information you requested.

1. What ERP system are you running for:

2. What versions of the above Applications are you running? - Information on application versions has been withheld under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, exemption s31(1)(a). This exemption is engaged because releasing the information will prejudice the prevention of crime by facilitating the possibility of a criminal offence being carried out.

3. When was your last Application upgrade? - Information on application upgrades has been withheld under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, exemption s31(1)(a). This exemption is engaged because releasing the information will prejudice the prevention of crime by facilitating the possibility of a criminal offence being carried out.

4. Are you planning another upgrade in the next 12-18 months? – As above

5. Do you have an Oracle support partner for applications? Oracle.

6. What is the value of the application support contract? - As a government department we operate under a framework and our costs are in line with Crown Commercial Services.

7. When does it expire? - Annual renewal

8. Are you running any Oracle Databases? - Yes

9. If so what versions are you currently running? - Information on database versions has been withheld under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, exemption s31(1)(a). This exemption is engaged because releasing the information will prejudice the prevention of crime by facilitating the possibility of a criminal offence being carried out.

10. What applications are being run on these Databases? - A variety of 3rd party applications.

This exemption is engaged because releasing the information will prejudice the prevention of crime by facilitating the possibility of a criminal offence being carried out.

16. Where do you advertise any Oracle procurement opportunities? - The FC uses the Oracle Government License Agreement and information on that contract should be sought from Cabinet Office.

17. Who is responsible for looking after the contract for the Oracle estate? – As above.

18. Who is responsible for looking after the licenses for the Oracle estate? – Forestry Commission software asset management team.

19. How much do you pay annually for Oracle Support & Maintenance? - The FC uses the Oracle Government License Agreement and information on that contract should be sought from Cabinet Office.

20. When does this contract renew? – As above.

21. Do you work with off shore partners? – As above.
