Clerk to request PCC Highways to clear overgrown shrubbery. Planning ”.P/2014/0850Focus School, Sarn SY16 4EJSiting of a temporary portakabin (2 years) for use as a class room “Although Council recognises the need for the additional space, they object to this application on the grounds that the portakabin is badly sited, dominating the vista of the site from the A489, blocking the view of the School House which is seen as a landmark in the village & the overall image of the site will present a quasi-industrial image out of character with the surrounding residential properties.” P/2014/0735Cllr. T. M. Powell (Dolfor) declared a pecuniary interest and took no part in the discussion or voting re this application for highway upgrades and associated works between Newtown and Llanbadarn Fynydd to facilitate deliveries of abnormal indivisible loads to the proposed Garreg Lwyd Hill Wind Farm (this application should be read in conjunction with planning application P/2013/0733) “Kerry CommunityCouncil felt this application to be premature. While they would welcome much needed road improvements to the A483, the focus of these improvements should be for the benefit of public safety in general rather than to meet the requirements of the Garreg Lwyd Hill Wind Farm project. Therefore Council objects to this application”.AOB The Chairman, Cllr. D.I. Hughes. (Kerry) briefed Council on a Public Inquiry to be held in regards to appeals made by RES UK & Ireland Ltd. relating to the Garreg Lwyd Hill wind turbines & the Highways upgrade. The need to make further written and verbal comment to the Inquiry was highlighted. Cllr. Hughes gave a holistic overview linking all past objections to the proposed development of numerous Windfarms in the area.
