Proof that Baltic Wood is characterised by exquisite designs are the prestigious awards received by the company, including Red Dot Design Award 2015. 6. ECO-RESPONSIBILITY

In accordance with Baltic Wood’s philosophy, the company aims to minimize its effects on the natural environment in every field of its operations. This is why we painstakingly select the suppliers of the floor components, and stress the full, ecological recycling of the waste formed during the production process.

The wood used to make the floors is acquired from tried and tested sources – FSC® certified forests. Confirmation that the highest standards are met in this scope is provided by FSC certification, as well as by the right to use the Rainforest Alliance™ mark.

Another sign of the eco-friendly attitude of the company is its careful selection of the chemical components used for the manufacture of flooring - Baltic Wood only uses those which hold the M1 certificate – confirmation of the lowest emission class.

The entire manufacturing process is carried out at Baltic Wood according to the environmental standard ISO 14001. Baltic Wood's proprietary eco-friendly programme involves full recycling of production waste – energy obtained from burning wood dust is returned to the floor manufacturing process. In this way, the company reduces waste and energy consumption and participates in the efforts to protect our planet.
