TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2016 6:00 PM
The regular meeting of the trustees of Townsend Schools was held on this date with the following board members present: Jamie Williams, Marvin Reddick, Shaun Scott, Kevin McDonnell, Tim Richtmyer and others: Nick Korthals, Jason Noyes, Christina Stevens, Brad Racht, Sheri Heavrin, and Pam Watson.
Chairman Reddick called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm and allowed for public comment. Nick Korthals was present on behalf of the County Commissioners asking what funding is needed to keep the radio on the air. Mr. Racht stated that Mr. Wilkerson will give Mr. Korthals more information. There was some discussion on the up-keep of the radio station.
Kevin McDonnell made a motion to approve the consent agenda items.

Tim Richtmyer seconded the motion. All voted in favor.
Jamie Williams made a motion to hire Jeremy Bartlett as “C” squad boys basketball coach. Tim Richtmyer seconded the motion. All voted in favor. There was discussion about numbers of participants and number of coaches in the basketball programs.
Mrs. Heavrin reported for Student Representative, Jessi Hamlen, on student activities.
Elementary Principal Brad Racht’s report included: new students, class sizes, TEAMS report, Google training, positive impact of Dean of Students, MBI, RTI, and positive law enforcement programs.
High School Principal Sheri Heavrin reported on: Freshman orientation, class sizes, HS staff goals, Tech Tuesdays, Homecoming, UM math day, event passes, and upcoming events.
Brad Racht reported on Trustee Shaun Scott receiving the MTSBA Marvin Heintz Award at MCEL.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm.
The next regular meeting will be held November 8, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
