Directors’ Report
This is the Directors’ report which is a part of the financial statements of the Company for the accounting period ended 31/03/2016.
Principal Activities
The activities of the Company are exclusively restricted to charitable purposes. The Company’s charitable purposes are the advancement of education and the provision maintenance and use of Yr Hen Ysgol in Dinas Cross Pembrokeshire for the benefit of its inhabitants and of the surrounding areas

1Accounting Policies
Basis of Preparation
The accounts have been prepared under the Historical Cost Convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Small Entities (effective April 2008).
Income
The income from ordinary charitable activities represents grants and donations to and other forms of fundraising by the Company
Equipment Depreciation
Depreciation of the Equipment is provided at the annual rate of 20% on its written down value in order to write it off over its estimated useful life.
2Operating Income
The operating income is stated after charging depreciation of £1,387 (£775 -2015) – and the addition of bank interest of £15 (£17 - 2015)

4Debtors
As at 31/03/2016 Trade debtors of £585 relates to unpaid bookings. The sundry debtor of £762 relates to gift aid for 31.03.2015 received 01.04.2016.
5Creditors/Accruals
As at 31/03/2016£4,483 of grant money has been allocated to curtains not yet invoiced for.
6Yr Hen Ysgol, Dinas Trust - The Property
Restricted Capital
Accumulated Annual Surpluses

Yr Hen Ysgol is the property of a separate charity called Yr Hen Ysgol, Dinas Trust – of which the Company is the sole Trustee. The property was gifted to the people of Dinas in 2005. It has been introduced into the balance sheet as property of that Trust - as restricted capital at the insured value of £532,000. The Company cannot as Trustee of that Trust derive any benefit from it - except in relation to its charitable activities. The charitable activities are and shall be carried on by the Company exclusively for the benefit of the inhabitants of Dinas and the surrounding area.
Any distribution of the surpluses of income and expenditure (note 7 below) is prohibited by the Articles of Association of the Company
