Harvest Thanksgiving
Today we are keeping our Harvest Thanksgiving. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves at the Harvest Supper. Thisyear we will support the Christian Aid Harvest Appeal, which is going to support Burundi, thehungriest country in the world. The Appeal is supplying sunflower seeds and training to the farmers to help them feed their families. Further information can be found on the Christian Aid website, but to give you some idea of what our contributions can buy;
£12could provide a farmer and his family with a 2kg bag of sunflower seeds – helping them grow enough food to survive.
£50could provide two families with 2kg of sunflower seeds and training – enough to form a cooperative and work together to build a better future for their community.
£100could help four farmers set up their own community cooperative.
