RegionalCenter(RC)isabranchcampusforSmallvilleCollege,Smallville, Kansas,andissituatedinNextdoor,Kansas.RCisaninstituteofhigherlearningprovidingcollegecredit coursesandtrainingtostudentsintheirpursuitofbachelordegrees.NextdoorIndependentSchoolDistrict isaffiliatedwithRC.

Asaninstituteofhigherlearning,RCpreparesstudentsfortheirfuturesbyofferingthemtheopportunitytoreceivecollegecreditswhileattendinghighschool.Classesarcconducted bothontheNextdoorHighSchoolcampusandtheRCcampus.Theseclassesare designatedas“concurrent”or “dual”creditclasses.Theinstructorsthatteachtheseparticular classesreceivetrainingandarerequiredtohaveobtainedaMasters'Degreeintheirparticular field

TheassociationbetweenRCandNextdoorIndependentSchoolDistricthasresultedinstudentsreceivingcollegecreditsforclassesinEnglish,Math.History,Government,Psychology,Arts,Spanish,andStudentSuccess. AstudentenrolledinAcademicDualCreditcoursescanearnasmanyas53credits,withthesecreditsbeingtransferabletoafour-yearuniversity. Thestudentsalsohavecoursesinnursing,criminaljustice,computers,business,andtheoilgasindustries availabletothem.

RChasbeenaccredited bytheCommissiononColleges,SouthernAssociation ofCollegesandSchools,providingacademic,nursing,technicalandjob-orientedcourses.SmallvilleCollege,andRC,havecateredtothevarioushighereducationalneedsoftheTidal Basin,pavingthewayforstudentstocompletetheirdegrees,providingtraining,also,tothosestudentsseekingjobsin, among other things, theoilandgasindustries.

RC'struepurposeistoprovidestudentswiththeeducationalfoundationneeded tosucceedprofessionally. Theestablished partnershipwithNextdoorIndependentSchoolDistricthasincreasedtheenrollmentofthecollegecoursesandhasallowedtheRCtoexpandthecoursesavailabletostudents.Shouldyourequiremoreinformation regardingouraffiliationwithNextdoorIndependent SchoolDistrict,pleasefeelfree tocontactme.
