Reflective Journal/Communication Log

Overview: Your reflective journal will chronicle your thinking as you progress in your learning this semester. Being able to think back over what was discussed in class, what was read, or reviewing what you did in your microteaching or your work towards your communication goals is the mark of an effective educator. This will be evaluated at mid-term and the end of the semester. However, weekly checks will be made – bring your journal to class every Wednesday!

Requirements:

1. There are to be weekly reflective entries into your journal.

2. The journal is to include brief reflections on all readings completed for class with specific citations, examples from the readings

3. The journal is to include brief reflections on class discussions and activities: analyze what you are learning in this class.

4. The journal needs to describe progress towards the author’s communication goals (indicators of progress are established by author for EDU 368).

5. The journal should demonstrate appropriate writing skills.
