Terms and Conditions

Below is a general outline of the Terms and Conditions for this post. Full terms and conditions would be included following any offer of employment.

Probationary Period

6 months’ probationary period with a formal appraisal in the sixth month.

Salary

£20,000per annum.

Hours of Work

5 days (36 Hours) per week.Working days areMonday to Friday.

Annual Leave

A full time equivalent allowance is 25 days per annum plus bank holidays. The pro-rated allowance will be calculated once the candidate is appointed and the start date is known.

Pension

Employees are eligible to join Place2Be pension scheme after three full months of service. The Place2Be contributes 3% of your salary into the scheme; employees may contribute as from 3% of their salary per financial year. A free session is available with our financial advisers to help plan your pension needs.

Childcare Vouchers

We run an approved childcare voucher scheme which offers income tax and National Insurance contribution savings when paying for child care.

Cycle Scheme/Season Ticket Loans

We offer interest-free loans for buying a season ticket or purchasing a bicycle to assist our staff with reducing the cost of travelling to work.

Eye Care Vouchers

We provide eye care vouchers entitling you to a free annual eye test. This scheme fulfils our legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act for staff using Display Screen Equipment. If staff require glasses because of their use of a DSE then an additional voucher pays for a basic pair of glasses.

Training and Development

Place2Be offers a central development programme for all staff and provide a range of training opportunities as part of employee’s individual personal development plan.

Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 – section 8

Overall purpose of the job is to

  • Deliver all administrative requirements to recruit and retain Place2Be’s volunteer counsellors and employees
  • Recruit and support the retention of the correct quality of people required to meet the organisation’s strategic objectives
  • Support the provision of Management Information required to ensure continuous resourcing best practice, value for investment and quality results

Key Accountabilities:

  • Recruit and retain the people resource needs of Place2Be, in line with the organisation’s growth strategy and within budget
  • Deliver the resourcing plan through liaison and administration activities and support Place2Be’s employment pathways
  • Support robust recruitment analysis with accurate, relevant and informative Management Information (MI) to track against and support our growth strategy
  • Support the delivery of specific marketing activities which enhance our reputation as Placement Provider(for our clinical placements)/Employer of choice and increase the number and quality of volunteer counsellors and job applications
  • Follow all recruitment processes and provide input to ensure they remain fit for purpose and deliver against set targets
  • Maximise utilisation of all administrative systems to ensure accurate and timely recording of information of documents by self and colleagues.
  • Provide legislative and data protection compliance for placements and employment (- identity, eligibility, DBS/PVG Scotland checks)
  • Develop strong relationships with Regional and School-based Management teams, training and education establishments and relevant employment agencies to support the delivery of best value and quality in meeting Place2Be’s recruitment needs
  • Complete project work that adds value to recruitment processes and supports improved talent retention

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy development

  • Deliver activities planned on an annual basis and against interim milestones for relevant resource requirements ( - media, innovation, selection panels and training in selection processes and skills)
  • Collaborate with school-based management teams to support networking activitiesto improve appeal of and audience for school roles
  • Maintain systems to ensure recruitment Management Information remains relevant and accurate
  • Liaise with school-based teams to support new and exiting processes and improve talent retention

2. Relationship Management

  • Liaise closely with School-based management teams to identify areas of process improvements and provide day-to-day resourcing activity
  • SupportCollege leads to promote Place2Be’s Volunteer Counsellor and employment opportunities and procure preferred supplier status for Place2Be.
  • Carry out ‘keep in touch’ calls with existing VC’s, raising any concerns or issues with management to reduce turnover and aid retention.
  • Research new providers of counsellor training events to promote Place2Be’s opportunities.
  • Action a high volume of enquiries from training institutions, media and public institutions, supporting the development of these relationships for future growth.
  • Liaise with media and employment agencies to support best value service provision for Place2Be to meet operational goals
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing school-based employees and managers to identify opportunities to improve retention and avoid the loss of local knowledge and relationships
  • Support Lead Recruiter in aligning recruitment activities to school acquisition strategy and progress against the acquisition plan
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings and other meetings as requested

3. Marketing and Employer Brand

  • Record, research and organise appropriate media coverage (including advertising) to ensure the required volume and standard of employees and volunteers
  • Support and deliver presentations at employer events as well as in training institutions, colleges and universities ensuring the maintenance of database list as required
  • Provide accurate and relevant input of recruitment data and the provision of information in line with the overall marketing strategy and to meet various business requirements
  • Engage with Recruitment and Volunteer Engagement Managers to support the development of a consistent marketing strategies

4. Recruitment analysis and Management Information

  • Support the provision of accurate, relevant and timely management reports on performance against recruitment and retention targets of volunteer counsellors and employees against school acquisition plans
  • Provide real time accuracy of information on the databases and appropriate and timely reports to the management population and appropriate stakeholders

5. Day to Day Activities

  • Maintain robust administrative systems and processes to ensure confidentiality and the secure disposal of discarded confidential documents.
  • Plan and administer preparation required for all people new to Place2Be to receive the appropriate induction and compulsory training.
  • Support the provision of selection training to school-based employees to ensure quality and volume targets met as required
  • Complete, record and report all pre-placement and pre-employment procedures such as DBS, immigration eligibility checks etc.
  • Support the Lead Recruiter with web and systems updates
  • Ensure the confidentiality and appropriate secure disposal of confidential information
  • Support and provide cover for team and continually review working practices, processes and service delivery.

Flexibility
