Recruitment Invitation to Interact Clubs
It's RYLA (Rotary’s Youth Leadership Award Program) time! RYLA is for student leaders of all kinds: club leaders, team leaders, those who plan school activities, active volunteers, and those who lead by example. The ideal candidate is a deserving 9th, 10th or 11th grader who can go back and make a big difference at your high school.
Your counselors will be nominating students for RYLA, but Interact members who are in 9th-11th grade, and Rotary exchange students, are also eligible to apply. Minimum age is 14.
Key details about this year’s program are:
●When? Friday, April 20, 2018 at 4pm - Sunday, April 22, 2017 at 4pm
●Where? Camp Copneconic, Fenton, MI
●Registration deadline? Friday, March 30, 2017
●Cost? $225 USD ($250 CAD) registration fee
●Scholarships? Partial and full scholarships available
●Past Attendees? There will not be a designated 2nd or 3rd year program for past attendees this year, but they are welcome to attend and participate in a new curriculum
We will be holding various informational sessions at the high school in February that I hope that you can attend. This session will provide you with more information on RYLA and some of the activities that take place there. Once a date and room location have been determined, I will pass it along. Please note an Application of Interest will be due to the sponsoring Rotary Club by Monday, February 19th and a copy of the Application of Interest on our website at under the RYLA “Site Pages” on the left-hand side.
We are looking forward to sending a great group of student leaders to RYLA this year!
Best,
