REALLOCATION OF STATE FISCAL YEAR 2013FUNDS
Purpose: / To request that Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and Title V Sub-grantees project their remaining 2013State Fiscal Year expenditures.Background: / Funding is allocated to the AAAs from various funding sources throughout the state fiscal year. Carryover of state funds is never allowed, and the ability to carryover SFY13Title V funding is uncertain at this time. AAAs and Title V Sub-grantees need to determine whether they will spend their entire allocated amounts in order to ensure that the maximum amount of available funds is used.
What’s new, changed, or
Clarified / Each AAA and Title V Sub-grantee will need to decide if they could use additional funds or if they can release some of their allocation that is projected to be unspent by June 30, 2013for the following funding sources:
- Senior Citizens Services Act (SCSA)
- State Family Caregiver Support Program (SFCSP)
- Kinship Caregiver Support Program (KCSP)
- Kinship Navigator Program (KinNav)
- Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
- Senior Drug Education (SB 6088, Section 8)
- Senior Community Service Employment Program (Title V)
ACTION: / Notice of excess funding or request for additional funding must be e-mailedto Anna Glaas, with a copy to your State Unit on Aging liaison, by March 15, 2013.
- Notice must identify each funding source, dollar amount, and whether there is a funding excess or shortfall.
- Include a brief narrative that describes the reason for your request.
- If you are requesting additional funds for a program, indicate if funding is currently depleted, as well as any waiting list and the number of persons on the list.
