2011-2012 Registration Procedures for RLL 568a, b and RLL 570 Courses

offered through the Reading Recovery Center for Literacy

Registration Procedures:

1. ASAP e-mail Becky Olsen () and let her know what classes you are teaching and how many students you expect. “Guesstimates” are OK.

2. As soon after the beginning of class that works for you and your students photocopy all information to be sent (including payments, if included) to NLU. Make 1 copy (in a-g order)for yourself and send the originals to NLU.

3. Place the completed forms in an envelope in the following (a-g)order for the appropriate term:

4. Please return the registration packet (original forms) as soon after the beginning date of term as works for you and your studentsto:

NOTES:

-Each credit hour represents 14 hours of class time. Please ensure that your class hours correspond to the required number per term and follow the NLU schedule as closely as possible. NLUs 2011-12 term dates, tuition and required class hours are:

-Please verify that all information is completed on the registration forms and that they are signed. A student will not be registered if the registration form is not signed.

-Please note that I will no longer handle the billing. It will be handled by Dana Lam of our Student Finance Department ( or 630-874-4505).

-ALL STUDENTS should be familiar with accessing their on-line NLU account to see

  • NLU ID#
  • Grades
  • NLU E-mails
  • Order transcripts
  • Account Info

Please give every student the attached procedure and ask them to become familiar with this process. For the student’s identity protection NLU no longer uses social security numbers as ID numbers. Please ask returning NLU students to enter their NLU ID# and NOT enter their SS#.Thank you for your help in this matter!
