Drop-in – Wednesday 18 June 4:30pm to 7:30pm, Derry hall

We are planning to start the major works in the autumn.The works were originally programmed to start in June however there has been a delay in obtaining the structural engineers report. We are sorry for the delay in progressing with these works and for the inconvenience caused to residents.

The planned works include:

  • Internal repairs and decorations to communal areas
  • Minor roof repairs (via cherry picker)
  • Fire risk assessment works
  • Blocking up of doorways and installation of fire alarms in top floor flats
  • Formation of new loft access hatch to services in the roof.

The full specification is available to view at the Church Street estate office, and we are also happy to email you a copy on request.

We would like to invite a small group of residents to take part in the tender evaluation in June. This will be an opportunity to review the quality questions that the contractors are asked to address. It will take about half a day, please contact me if you are interested.

Once the contractor has been nominated we will issue the section 20 notice of estimate to leaseholders and write to tenants with an update at the same time.

Nearer the start date, we will invite residents to a drop-in to view samples of colours for the decorations and there will be a ballot to agree the final choice.

We are holding a drop-inon Wednesday 18 Junefrom 4:30pm to 7:30pm in Derry hall. This will be an opportunity to view the specification and raise any questions about the major works.

You may have noticed that there are new planters in your courtyard. We are keen to use this drop-in as an opportunity to discuss the new planters and set up a new residents group for site two. We look forward to hearing your ideas.
