Asthe responsible project planning engineer for the company’s involvement in the FOINAVEN field my tasks included the production of networks/plans for the design and fabrication of SUBSEA diverless connections for oil applications.

Produced progress monitoring systems and was responsible for producing weekly/monthly reports. Later in the contract became Site Representative to oversee the onsite manufacture of the SUBSEA units.

This covered detail machining and fabricated weldments. I was also responsible for overseeing the contractors planning efforts.

Being a light engineering company the work was varied from high precision aircraft components to oil refinery instrumentation components and M.O.D type work to boiler tube plates.

Very tight deadlines required to be maintained and ensuring that these were adhered to was also part of my responsibility. My position required that I met, entertained clients and prospective clients and hence travelled quite extensively.
