Q: How do I add a sustainability action that I have already completed?
- Select the appropriate Sustainability Category.
- Select “I Did This!”
- Complete the pop out form.
-When did you do this will provide time options in which you will first began this action. - Select “I Did This!” on the pop out form to add the goal to My Sustainability.
Q: How do I add a sustainability goal for future tracking?
- Select the appropriate Sustainability Category.
- In the “Actions” tab, the user can see all the available action items they can select.
- Select “Create a Goal”.
- Complete the pop out form.
-Begin challenge in will provide time options in which you will begin doing this action. - Select “Create a Goal” on the pop out form to add the goal to My Sustainability.
Q: Can I request a new action item for the site?
A: At the bottom of your personal dashboard, there is a “Suggest an Action” link. Similar to the “Suggest an Org” feature in the volunteer and giving portions of the site, this will send your suggestion to the email to be reviewed by the YourCause client advocacy team.
Q: How can I see how my sustainability impact compares to other Dell employees?
A. Know that every little bit you do helps the planet, so this is friendly competition. In your personal dashboard, you will have a section titled “My Eco Ranking Level”. This will indicate where your impact ranks in comparison to other Dell employees who have entered information in the tool.
Q: Can I see what impact Dell has as a whole?
A: When you click on the “Sustainability” tab, the second option will be “Dell Sustainability”. This will provide a high level overview of the sustainability data Dell employees have entered on the Powering the Possible site. For an overview of Dell’s corporate impact, visit
Q: What are “badges” and how do I earn one?
A: Badges are a reward that indicates a benchmark has been met. For each Sustainability category, completing five goals will earn you a badge. This is another good way for you to measure your own progress.
Q: How can I see detailed information about existing action items/goal opportunities?
A: Next to each action item is a “Learn More” link. This will open a popup message with additional details about the action item.
Q: How do I see my sustainability action history?
A: Within each category tab, you will see a “History” tab that will display the actions items that you have already completed. You will also see your most recent activity on your dashboard under “My Recent Activity”.
Q; How do I see the active goals that I am working towards?
A: The “Active Goals” tab will display any goals that you have created.
Q; How do I see what actions I have completed?
A: The “Completed Actions” tab of your personal dashboard will display any actions that you have recorded. You will also have an “Edit” and “Delete” option to allow you the flexibility and control to edit your actions at any time.
Q: I use public transportation – where can I find that on the list?
A: At this time, there is not a separate category for taking the bus/tram/metro, etc. We hope to add that in the future as a separate activity to join other means of getting to work in a more sustainable way. In the meantime, please use “Carpool” as a proxy for public transportation.
