Dear Parents
We are intending to take Lower Foundation Stage morning children to visit Kirklees Light Railway to see Santa on Wednesday, 7th December 2016. The coach will leave school at 9 30 am prompt, however the children will still need to be in school for 8.30am. The trip will be all day and children will need to be collected between 3.15 and 3.30pm. Please ensure, if your child suffers with travel sickness, appropriate medicine has been administered and you make the class teacher aware. We will need written permission and provision for the return journey.
A packed lunch and drink will be required. Please do not send any fizzy drinks, glass bottles, chocolate, sweets, or spending money.
The children will be expected to wear their school jumper. As we will be outdoors for a large amount of the time, it would be helpful if you could ensure that it is suitable clothing and footwear for the weather on the day. In keeping with the festive nature of our trip it would be lovely to see all the children wearing a Santa hat or something similar.
The cost of the trip is £19.50 per child; this will cover the transport, entry into the railway and a visit to Santa by train, where each child will receive a gift. If you would like your child to attend please complete the permission slip below and return to school with payment by Monday, 14th November.
As the trip takes place over a full day, your child will not be able to attend morning nursery on Thursday 8th December when it will be the turn of afternoon nursery.
