PTA Minutes from Thursday 5th November 2015 Meeting
Present: Rosie Booth, Joanne Jabczynski, Joanne Greenwood, Nic Winrow, Rachel Gloag, Hayley Walker, Martin Walker, Amanda Smyth, Rachel Harrison.
Apologies: Louise Eastwood, Mrs Sunderland, Emma Parkin, Ruth Sturdee, Claire Greenwood.
1. The date of the next meeting will be Thursday 3rd December at 8:45am in the school dining hall.
2. The disco was really well attended and the children enjoyed it. Almost £300 was made at this event.
3. Clothes recycling. A reminder that towels or bedding are not accepted. The black recycling bin is located at the top of the Heathfield car park.
4. Christmas Fayre. Rachel has a sheet for volunteers to mark down where and when they’re free to help out on the day. Please help out if you can, even if it is only for part of the event. Any help is always much appreciated.
5. There will be 30 stalls with some help from the 6th formers. PTA games will include steady hand, splat the rat, tattoos.
Money raised will be split between Heathfield and Rishworth PTAs. If anyone can lend out lights/decorations for the fayre please get in touch, they can be returned after the event on the day.
6. Jo, Hayley, Rosie and Joanne have been busy handing out flyers for the fayre.
7. Raffle tickets are being sent out with proceeds going to Smart Move charity.
8. Heathfield Foundation Christmas activities will include entertainers coming into school. Nic is finding out prices and gathering ideas, such as drummers/circus skills.
9. Heathfield Charity Ball. Nic has visited and booked The Arches, Dean Clough, Halifax. This will take on Saturday 7th May 2016, 7-7:30pm. This venue holds up to 150 people and includes a dance floor. There will be a casino, contemporary dancers, DJ, music. Tickets will be priced at £40.00 each. There will also be auction prizes, sponsors and help with these will be needed. If you can help at all with any donations for this, please contact the PTA. Many thanks in advance!
10. Many thanks to Amanda for taking the minutes at this meeting as Louise was away on this date.
11. There is now a PTA page on Facebook so please have a look for updates. Rishworth School PTA. Further information will also be emailed out soon.
12. There are still parents wishing to purchase uniform from the PTA new to you uniform room at Heathfield, so Louise Eastwood will now start to run this again each Wednesday from 3-3:30pm, starting Wednesday 2nd December. If you need to purchase any uniform please try and come along at this time or ask Mrs Battye for further help at other times.
