3.0 WORK EXPERIENCE

3.1 Feb 2016 to date: PATH/USAID-CDC Funded Program for the Advancement of Malaria Outcomes (PAMO)

Position: Logistics Assistant and Program Driver

In-charge of project logistics and fleet management for the country office for the PAMO project.

Key responsibilities included:

  • Driving and maintaining transportation vehicles, focusing on safety of passengers and courtesy to customers.
  • Conducting pre-drive vehicle checks for Safety and Security purposes
  • Carrying out fuel analysis and submitting a monthly vehicle usage report to Director-Finance and Administration Manager
  • Ensuring assigned vehicle is in a clean and usable condition and arranging for full Valet once in a while as need arises
  • Timely reporting of vehicle service when needed and keeping accurate records and following a schedule of routine maintenance and repair after 5,000-10,000km
  • Completion of Log Book at the end of every trip
  • Supporting and taking part in field work logistics and programmatic preparations, especially community mobilization and supporting community health workers
  • Helping in arrangement for workshops
  • Ensuring all regulatory vehicle requirements are up to date (Road tax, fitness, Insurance and first Aid kit)
  • Delivering cheques to vendors whom PATH is unable to pay via bank transfers.

  • Collecting quotations from vendors who are unable to send in the quotations via email.
  • Ensure cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports.
  • Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely re-fueling of vehicle, timely change of oil, check tyre pressure, brakes, car wash, etc.
  • Ensure that all immediate actions required by Road Traffic laws and regulations are adhered to in case of involvement in an accident.

3.2February 2014 - February 2016: Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA)-Head Quarters

  • Driving Domestic Tax staff around the Country for Tax-related purposes
  • Driving Customs Officers for Tax Compliance Patrols
