10. DISPOSITION OF CARCASS/ANIMAL PARTS AT COMPLETION OF STUDY:

a. / Frozen specimen- PI is responsible for transporting the carcass to the appropriate freezer or call LAMS to make arrangements for transportation of carcass.
b. / Rendering-non-transgenic animals, livestock species excluding sheep and goats. Bring to Pathology Department cooler labeled “rendering.”
c. / Incineration- All transgenic animals including rodent and livestock species must be incinerated. No restrictions with respect to species.
d. / Frozen/fresh/preserved specimen- HNRCA PI is responsible for transporting the carcass to the appropriate freezer or animal morgue (across from 435) or contact CBU to make arrangements for transportation of carcass.
