Protect the Places You Play Video Contest – 2014 Rules

1. Go to the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute page on “Facebook”, click the “Like” button, and submit a videobetween April 7 and May 27, 2013 for your chance to win a Wisconsin State Parks Sticker. Those who are current “Fans” of the UW Sea Grant’sfacebook page can also enter by clicking the “ISAM Protect the Places you Play” box on the top of the page. Videos must be less than two minutes in length and can be submitted through YouTube, Vine, or Instagram video.

2. Entrants must be at least 13 years old. Employees of UW Sea Grant, their immediate families, or those associated with the Wisconsin Invasive Species Council may enter the contest but may not be awarded the prize.

3. The contest entry period is. Each “Fan” of UW Sea Grant can only submit one video in the contest per day. However, if a “Friend” of an entrant submits a video in the contest, the initial entrant automatically receives an additional 5 (five) bonus votes.

4. Odds of winning are determined by the number of entries and votes submitted by the public.

5. One winner will be chosen by public vote. Whoever has the most votes by 11:59 p.m. on May 27will be deemed the winner. The winner will be announced on the UW Sea Grant website ( on May 29and then posted on Facebook.

6. Should an employee of the UW Sea Grant, one of their immediate family members, or anyone associated with the Wisconsin Invasive Species Council win the video contest, they shall forfeit the prize which would then be awarded to the next runner up who is not an employee of the UW Sea Grant, an immediate family member, or associated with the Wisconsin Invasive Species Council.

8. The winner will be notified by phone, email, or U.S. mail. In the unlikely event UW Sea Grantis unable to contact a winner,the second place winner will be contacted. UW Sea Grant is not responsible for errors, problems, or difficulties with printing, U.S. mail, internet (including e-mail), or telephone. Additionally, UW Sea Grant is not liable for Facebook errors or difficulties.

9. No purchase is necessary to enter.

10. This video contest may be discontinued or rules changed at any time without notice.

11. This videocontest is conducted by UW Sea Grant whose decisions are final on all matters. All videos submitted to the contest come with the right for UW Sea Grant and the Wisconsin Invasive Species Council to use in publications, in social media, and on the UW Sea Grant website ( and its associated pages without credit to the videographer.

12. Entrants agree to eliminate Facebook from any liability in this promotion, as information is provided to WooBox and ultimately UW Sea Grant, not to Facebook. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.

13. The prize is non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash and may not be substituted by the winner. Some restrictions apply.

14. Winners agree that UW Sea Grant has no liability in connection with the acceptance or use of any prizes awarded in this contest.

16. Upon completion of the contest, the name of the winner will be available upon written request to UW Sea Grant.
