In cooperation with Dorchester Citizens for Planned Growth, this committee has organized

two showings of the Inconvenient Sequel movie at the Dorchester County Public Library.

They will be at 3 pm and 6 pm on 11/28. There will be an email and a press release. We

are all encouraged to attend and spread the word. The committee is welcoming donations of

snacks such as chips and cookies for the movie. They are also considering the possibility of

hosting a monthly environmental film series at the library.

next meeting: 12/8

c. Local Politics

Notes from their recent meeting will be shared when they are available. The committee met,

with preparation for the Andy Harris town hall meeting on 11/11 being on agenda item. Mary

Handley is setting up a separate event for those who are interested in canvassing training

(training by representatives from the state Democratic party office). This training will likely be

on a Sunday afternoon.

The committee also discussed our plan for a presence at the Cambridge Christmas Parade on

Saturday 12/2. They have a truck capable of pulling a trailer, but no trailer. If anyone can

find a flatbed trailer for our float, please let Mary Handley () know. Interested volunteers will meet soon (time and date TBA) to plan and prepare for the parade.

(Update--a trailer has been located!)

*Mike Brown is organizing another small group (separate from Indivisible Dorchester) to

determine how to revitalize Dorchester Democrats. Contact Mike () to participate.

4. Discussion of our finances--We have an account at 1880 Bank, so we can accept contributions and pay expenses. Thanks, Sandy Kramer, for taking the initiative! Donations totaling $100 were collected to add to the $50 seed money used to start the account. Thank you!

5. New candidate at next meeting--Jesse Colvin. I was contacted by Jordan Kaye. Jesse wants to meet our membership and hear our concerns. They're bringing Duck Donuts! Read about him at jessecolvin.com.

6. Postcards to voters--Lucia Rojas brought this to our attention. She will organize a postcard party soon. Postcards will be written and sent to voters in Alabama to encourage them to get out and vote in the election this December. More information will be coming.

7. Donations for St. Luke's Methodist Church were collected and delivered to Pastor Tilghman.

11. Next meeting: December 9th at 10 am. Susan Olsen is working on our meeting place.
