Summary:
Responsible for managing the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring that employees and their families understand the value of their employment at PUI.
Duties
Benefits
Enter benefits elections into HR system and provider sites.
Be the first point of contact for employee issues and questions re: benefits, and refer to appropriate vendor as needed.
Administer COBRA benefits.
Generate, track, approve and maintain FMLA paperwork.
Maintain and reconcile benefits and insurance provider invoices. Update and file any federal, state or local government compliance reports or logs.
Plan, organize, market and manage company-wide employee events, such as recognition events, luncheons, contests, health fairs, blood drives, carry-ins, etc.
Ensure that conference rooms are stocked with refreshments, and that first aid and safety equipment is restocked when necessary.
Work with the Marketing Department to obtain quotes, evaluate product and order products used for company’s promotional items.
Manage the onboarding process for new employees.
Oversee the informational bulletin boards to ensure compliance with federal and state posting requirements, as well as assisting communicating changes and news to employees.
Manage Workers Compensation and participate on Safety Committee.
Develop and manage a wellness committee, made up of exempt, non exempt and hourly staff, to assist in containing health care costs.
Compensation
Develop and maintain a compensation plan for exempt, nonexempt and technical employees which include career ladders and merit processes.
Conduct research on wages, benefits and policies to benchmark PUI with its competitors to ensure the company is able to hire and retain the best candidates.
Assist managers in writing job descriptions; evaluates positions to place them within the structure of the compensation plan.
Work closely with HR Manager to ensure positions are posted promptly and accurately.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of benefits and compensation administration are required; a combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement. PHR, SPHR and/or CEBS preferred.

- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Power Point, and HRIS systems (ABRA and cloud-based).
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
