This example shows how we used this form to organise a project in Housing. We identified a number of different main tasks (Front Desk Observation and Interview Housing Officer) as part of our observing process in action. It was important that we spoke to housing officers from different disciplines and in different offices, partly to spread the workload, and partly to highlight any difference in procedure between different locations. As for front desk observation we wanted to compare two separate offices on the same days, therefore requiring 2 different BPR consultants.

As you can see from the table above, the main tasks were divided into subtasks and any 'other details' were added. The schedule doubles as a plan of the work to be undertaken, and as an appointment diary.

The same form can be used for interviews and observations - and can be adapted according to your needs.
