PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT GRANT -PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SHORT FORM

Do you meet all of the following requirements to use the Professional Development Grant Short Form?

  • Project funding request is less than $1,000.00, excluding SWE sponsored CEU fees.
  • Total number of participants is less than 50.
  • Funding requested per participant (professional or collegiate) is less than $20, excluding SWE sponsored CEU fees.
  • Funding is requested for female (or male SWE members) participants only.
  • The event has an admission fee for professionals that at a minimum, covers the cost of food (collegiate SWE members are not required to pay admission fees).
  • No alcohol is being funded by SWE.
  • The event is for professional development and not purely social, networking, or for fundraising.
  • The event is lead by SWE for the primary benefit of SWE members.
  • Duration of event is less than 8 hours and occurs on a single day.

Members note that 90% of the requested funds will be disbursed upon approval of the proposal, and the remaining 10% after the event upon submission of a) the final report, b) actual budget, and c) written directions & supplies list for each project activity.Deliverables may be sent by email to the committee chair separately, but must be clearly marked "PSF# XXX ATTACHMENT ABC", where “ABC” is a brief description of file content. Attachments are preferred in PDF format to facilitate sharing of the information, although word processing and Excel files will also be accepted.SWE requests an electronic copy of any Publicity received, e.g. newspaper articles, newsletter announcement
