Profile of the periodical

The Scientific Journal of the Polish Economic Society is a scientific periodical number ISSN 1291-7380 published by the Zielona Góra branch of the Polish Economic Society (PTE) since 2014. It is a biannual. The scientific profile of the periodical is interdisciplinary in nature and covers broadly understood issues related to social sciences. The periodical publishes original and interesting scientific papers on significant and current social and economic issues. These include dissertations and studies of important theoretical and utilitarian character.

The Scientific Journal of the Polish Economic Society in Zielona Góra is a periodical which documents the academic achievements and exchange of views mainly in the areas related to economics, management, theory and practice of economic integration, economic, regional and social policy, the economics of the environment, sustainable development and economics of cities and regions. The articles are rooted in such disciplines as economics, management, psychology, sociology or law. They can be both theoretical as well as empirical.

The periodical constitutes a forum for dialogue between scientists and practitioners. Apart from the academic debate, it assumes presentation of studies describing experience of the practical functioning of enterprises and institutions located in the environment of business and local governments. It demonstrates the utility of new ideas and the opportunities of their practical application in the business environment. Its goal is to encourage exchange of experience, thoughts, inspirations, but also presentation of the recent scientific achievements within the subject profile.

The papers submitted for publication in the Scientific Journal of the Polish Economic Society in Zielona Góra should contain genuine descriptions of phenomena as well as conclusions and suggestions concerning further research and analyses. In order to improve the quality of selection of submitted articles, authors should clearly specify the aim of papers as well as the results, and in case of presentation of the research – describe both methodology and the results obtained.

The papers published in The Scientific Journal of the Polish Economic Society in Zielona Góra should express the opinions of their authors. The authors are responsible for the contents of submitted papers. In case of any reservations on the part of the readers in respect of the contents of the papers, the authors are obliged to respond in the form of publications in the periodical. The periodical is directed both to the academic environment as well as to practitioners.

The Editorial Office of the Scientific Journal of the Economic Society has set itself the ambitious aim of maintaining high academic standard of the periodical and joining the list of journals accrediting points for academic development, published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The bi-annual is indexed in: BazEkon, CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library).

The primary (referential) version of the Journal is published in print. For the purpose of more widespread dissemination of the presented research results, electronic version is also available in Open Access.
