Staff adequately trained in microbiological handling procedures should only handle media. All media should be handled according to procedures specified for each designated handling category.
Manifestations resulting from exposure (i.e. inhalation or transdermal introduction) are variable. If accidental exposure does occur, the best emergency or precautionary measures are to ascertain the identity of the media components and contact a physician for appropriate prophylactic therapy or prognostic monitoring.
These products contain no components of human origin. They are therefore free of HBsAg and antibodies to HIV1, HIV2 and HCV.
There is no evidence to date of any toxicological effects.

Spillage Measures: / Wear, appropriate protective clothing and use appropriate microbiological handling facilities at all times.
After spillage mop up with absorbent material e.g. cotton wool or paper towel.
For potential infectious material ensure that the area is thoroughly disinfected, e.g. using 5% sodium hypochlorite solution or another suitable disinfectant, and that absorbent material is suitably disposed of according to local regulations for disposal of infectious waste.
11. Disposal: / Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
Potentially infectious material should be disposed of by autoclaving or according to local microbiological regulations.
